Internal stakeholders were not shy about letting Creative Services know how much they didn’t like our event signs, templatized when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.
Any chance to get more “designed” artwork for an event was worth its weight in gold, and it created uninspiring, messy precedent.
The redesign contains some functional improvements — among them, built-in space for stick-on directional arrows instead of a chin of whitespace — but the gradient and typography require more consideration from those building the layout and those writing the copy.
Through a new template, polish becomes a more important part of the production infrastructure.
