In 2022, The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago celebrated 100 years of operation in its landmark building on South LaSalle Street in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to researching, writing, and conceptualizing a summary of the building’s long history of construction and remodeling, I searched through the Bank’s digital photo archive to find plans, sketches, pamphlets and photos of every era to piece together a visual story of evolution — and an original logo to tie it all together.
These social media assets utilize a new component of the Bank’s 2022 rebrand: the blue-to-green gradient. Set as a backdrop to more traditional-looking scrapbook composites, the gradient keeps everything a little more current and a little less purely archival.
